Warp Drive Recycling is selling
a mixture of silt from the dam removal, mulched leaves, and dirt in
1 cubic foot bags for $4. For each bag, fifty cents will be divided
between Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR) and Fredericksburg Pathways
Partners (FPP). See the article
in the Free Lance-Star or contact Warp Drive at 898-9232.
Participate at a Trail Cleanup
In the past, FPP performed trail
maintenance on the Smith Run
Trail and the VCR Trail.
The Smith Run work included leveling the slant of the trail building
some steps, and cleaning up the garbage. Future work includes filling
in low areas, constructing a trail head behind the new police station,
and possibly constructing a bridge. The VCR work included cleaning
up garbage and clearing the majority of the trail from overgrowth.
See the Events page for future events.
